One of many amazing day hike destinations in Yosemite is North Dome. The red glowing dot visible in the upper left is a camp fire. I walked by that site a couple of weeks later on my way to North Dome itself.
Half Dome By Starlight
Half Dome is barely illuminated by starlight. The Andromeda galaxy is above while the lamps from a couple of climbers are visible on Half Dome's north face.
Glowing Half Dome

Rays of Sunlight over Yosemite Valley
Rays of sunlight stream through a combination of smoke and mist over Yosemite Valley. Shot from North Dome, late in the fall, 2016.
Foggy Sunrise Over The Santa Cruz Mountains
There are some twisty roads along the Santa Cruz Mountains that offer up some stunning views. Today the fog was up high enough to make it look entirely different.

Meadow at Mirror Lake
In the spring this should be under water. Today it was a meadow. I saw the dramatic clouds overhead as the sun was setting and became inspired.
